Wellness exams are essential to detect disease processes and problems in its early stages.  Our furry companions can live long, healthy lives when health issues are diagnosed early on and treated appropriately.  During a wellness exam, all animals are check thoroughly from nose to tail.  The nose, eyes, ear, mouth, heart, lungs, skin and coat, abdomen, back, and tail are all examined for overall health, diseases, infections, and telltale signs of impending or hidden illnesses.  The veterinarians trained eyes and ears can detect a great deal about the overall heath of your pet such as heart disease, spinal problems, anemia, tumors, and the presence of parasites.   In addition to a general physical examination, other diagnostic tests may be recommended as needed such as blood test, urinalysis, or x-rays.
